Senior Accounting Policy Analyst

We're seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Policy Analyst to join our client's Government team in Toronto.What We Offer:· Salary: $90,930- $132,162· Job Type/Shift: Full time· Benefits: Defined Pension Plan, health benefits package, including medical, dental, and visionWhat You'll Do:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of existing accounting policies and identify areas for improvement
• Develop and implement new accounting policies that align with government regulations and industry standards
• Provide expert guidance and recommendations to senior leadership on complex financial matters
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of accounting policies across government programs
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in the field of public sector accounting
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate policy changes and their impact

What We're Looking For:Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior-level accounting policy or advisory role
• Demonstrated expertise in analyzing and interpreting financial data
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present complex information to diverse stakeholders
• Proficient in the use of financial analysis software and data visualization tools
• Thorough understanding of government accounting regulations and best practices
