About The Role
We're seeking a Senior / Staff-level engineer to spearhead the development and enhancement of our data processing, automation, and API infrastructure.
Depending on your interests, there's room to contribute to user-facing full-stack product development and AI-focused features.
We're looking for individuals who can lead projects, mentor team members, and take on leadership responsibilities within the team.
What You'll Do
- Design and build software capable of reaching millions of users.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and analysts to understand user needs deeply and develop a product that addresses those needs.
- Develop and execute short and long-term roadmaps, balancing business impact, user experience, and technical quality.
- Contribute to the improvement of the team and company culture through mentorship, interviewing, and new initiatives.
- Foster relationships with other engineering teams and collaborate across functions.
- Identify, prioritize, and resolve challenges faced by our customers.
- Work with peers to design and build tools and capabilities that facilitate efficient development and use of our platform.
- Write high-quality, performant code and support peer teams throughout the company.
Requirements
What We're Seeking
Must Have
- Proficiency in web application backends, particularly Django & Django Rest Framework.
- Experience managing infrastructure on Google Cloud.
- 5+ years of professional experience.
- US work authorization preferred; remote work from the US is feasible (office in NYC).
- Experience as a tech lead and coaching junior team members.
Nice to Have
- Experience in sprint planning.
- BS or MS in computer science, engineering, or related fields.
- Enthusiasm for working on both backend and frontend projects.
- Passion for solving complex problems and building scalable processes.
