The Opportunity

TC Energy is looking to add an #EnergyProblemSolver to its team based in Meaford Ontario to support External Relations activities for the Ontario Pumped Storage Project.

We are seeking a student from the Grey County area who is enrolled in a relevant post-secondary program such as communications journalism indigenous relations political science or business.

We engage our students in the very core of our operations. As a valued member of the team youll do exciting challenging work solve real world problems and make a meaningful impact. Youll learn about the business and build your professional network by working closely with other skilled people at TC Energy. Every day will enhance your knowledge skills and passion for what you do.

What youll do

• Support engagement activities with Indigenous Nations

• Support engagement with municipal governments and community groups

• Help develop and execute workplans and engagement plans tied to regulatory proceedings

• Attend community events and manage information booths or virtual sessions

• Document community interactions and respond to questions from community members

• Assist in creating digital and print materials

• Support the development and execution of a social media strategy

• Assess review edit and advise on communications plans and content

• Support planning for project representation at conferences booths speaking engagements and sponsorships

Minimum Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a relevant post-secondary field such as communications journalism indigenous relations political science or business or related undergraduate degree program with at least one semester of education completed

• Enrollment at an accredited University or College and returning to school for at least one semester following your work term

• Intermediate to advanced understanding of Microsoft 365 applications specifically PowerPoint and SharePoint

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
