Art Director

Reporting to the VicePresident Ideation theArtistic Directors mission is to clearly communicate his or herartistic vision across all artistic disciplines while aligning itwith the projects objectives and ambitions.

This persondemonstrates a proven ability to articulate artistic approaches ina collaborative context while challenging the way games arecreated.

The Artistic Director is a natural artist who can talkabout concept modeling texturing and lighting. His experience andleadership help structure the teams he works with.

The Director isresponsible for the artistic direction of the 2D and 3D art teamcreates processes manages the vision and may actively participatein projects.

• Define productvisual identity;
• Setup visual style guides (moodboards design imagesetc.);
• Collaboratewith creative technology and production teams to achieve keymilestones;
• Planthe needs of the art department focusing on productquality;
• Participatein the artistic recruitmentprocess;
• Maintaina balance between technical and artisticrequirements;
• Planand supervise artisticteams;
• Provideartistic leadership to drive the overall vision of theproject;
• Actas a mentor to the artisticteam;
• RespectBKOM Studios confidentiality and IT security policies when usingsharedresources;
• Anyother relatedduties.

Profil

• More than 5years of leadership experience in art direction for AA and / or AAAgames;
• Aminimum of 10 years experience in the video gameindustry;
• Indepthknowledge of all artistic disciplines including concept characteranimation environment visual effects user interface lightingshading andrendering;
• Innovativeskills and excellent understanding of the creativeprocess;
• Portfolioof personal and professional artisticachievements;
• Experiencein creating original intellectual property for videogames;
• Experienceof working with gameengines;
• Excellentcommunication skills and ability to visualize and communicateideas;
• Abilityto contribute directly to artistic creation through concreteexamples;
• Excellentcommunication time management and organizationalskills.
