Responsibilities
- Analyze ledger entries.
- Verifyexpense reports and supporting receipts or otherdocumentation.
- Verify and analyze bankstatements.
- Develop strategies to reduce costsand study product pricing to ensure the best ROE.
- Prepare budgeting reports by collecting data from variousdepartments within the organisation.
- Rectifydiscrepancies & perform monthend activities includingjournal entries &reconciliations.
- Ensureaccurate classification of expenses under Generally AcceptedAccounting Principles
- Research material coststo ensure accuracy of information in the companys accountingsystem.
- Participate in physical inventorycounts to ensure the accuracy of inventoryrecords.
Requirements
- A bachelors degree in finance or commerce with aspecialisation in accountancy.
- 3 years ofexperience in the accountancy field or an equivalentrole.
- Current enrolled as CPA or pursuing apath towards certification.
- Excellentcommunication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and wellacquainted with GenerallyAccepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Abilityto work independently or within a team and showinitiative.
