ABOUT THE POSITION
We are looking for a CAD technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will support our engineers and design teams to produce high-quality technical drawings for our various projects.
The projects that the candidate will take on will be varied and range in size and scope. Candidates should have strong attention to detail, a desire for creating innovative and functional designs, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
DUTIES
Work side by side with our engineers and design teams to produce high quality mechanical / structural drawings
Create 3D parts and assemblies using Inventor software
Partake in project meetings
Partake in client meetings
Apply best practices and company standards
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of CAD modeling (familiarity with Autodesk Inventor is preferred)
5+ years of experience in design and detailing of mechanical equipment and structural
Preferred graduate from mechanical engineering technologist program
Experience in manufacturing and fabrication environments preferred
AutoCAD experience preferred
Ability to read, understand, and create mechanical / structural drawings
Knowledge of BC Building Code, and ability to read and understand other industrial codes
Proficient in MS Office
Fluency in English with excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong ability to focus and be detail oriented

RENUMERATION
$30-$45 / hr based on experience level
