Salary

$27.62- $35.48 per hour

Position Summary

The Communications Assistant schedules and provides infant / child hearing screening, conducts client therapy sessions and prepares and delivers community activities for preschool children.

Qualifications

Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent preferred

Preferred Knowledge in the development of language and Communication Disorders

Practical knowledge and experience in parenting, child development, and helping families cope with a variety of challenges

Good interpersonal skills; caring, supportive, and non-judgmental attitude

Ability to work independently and part of as team

Good organizational and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to deal with conflict.

Ability to apply basic to intermediate computer and clerical skills to maintain accurate electronic records, perform tasks accurately, effectively and efficiently

Must have strong spoken and written communication

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel required

Sensitive to cultural diversity

Access to transportation. Mileage allowance provided.
