Description de posteDiploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent preferred Preferred Knowledge in the development of language and Communication Disorders Practical knowledge and experience in parenting, child development, and helping families cope with a variety of challenges Good interpersonal skills; caring, supportive, and non-judgmental attitude Ability to work independently and part of as team Good organizational and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to deal with conflict. Ability to apply basic to intermediate computer and clerical skills to maintain accurate electronic records, perform tasks accurately, effectively and efficiently Must have strong spoken and written communication Valid driver’s license and ability to travel required Sensitive to cultural diversity All new Northwestern Health Unit employees are required to be fully vaccinated with a Health Canada approved COVID-19 vaccine as a condition of hire, unless medically exempt or otherwise exempt under the Ontario Human Rights Code Access to transportation. Mileage allowance provided. Position Summary
The Communications Assistant schedules and provides infant / child hearing screening, conducts client therapy sessions and prepares and delivers community activities for preschool children.
