$27.62- $35.48 per hour
Position Summary
The Communications Assistant schedules and provides infant / child hearing screening, conducts client therapy sessions and prepares and delivers community activities for preschool children.
Qualifications
Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent preferredPreferred Knowledge in the development of language and Communication DisordersPractical knowledge and experience in parenting, child development, and helping families cope with a variety of challengesGood interpersonal skills; caring, supportive, and non-judgmental attitudeAbility to work independently and part of as teamGood organizational and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to deal with conflict.Ability to apply basic to intermediate computer and clerical skills to maintain accurate electronic records, perform tasks accurately, effectively and efficientlyMust have strong spoken and written communicationValid driver’s license and ability to travel requiredSensitive to cultural diversityOther
