Under the general supervision of the Director InformationSystems and Application Support, the PACS Clinical
Administrator works as part of a multi disciplinary team incollaboration with management and end users throughout
the region to ensure the ongoing technical and clinicaladministration of the information systems & software in use in
Hospitals in Northwestern Ontario which are supported by the ISdepartment.
Employment Requirements :
Education
A diploma or Bachelors degree in a health care related field(Diagnostic Imaging) or equivalent combination of
relevant experience and education is required
- Must have valid registration and be a member in good standing ofCMRTO
- Must have Post Secondary education in health care or technologyrelated field
- CAHIMS (Certified Associate in Healthcare Information andManagement Systems) or CPHIMS (Certified
Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems)certification is an asset
Experience
- Minimum 3 years in a related field working in a DI departmentwithin a large facility
- Experience in a hospital / diagnostic environment
- Knowledge of hospital and clinic workflow, routines, processesand documentation requirements is an asset
- Experience in Health Informatics, Computer Science and / orrelated fields an asset
- Technical experience related to the use of information systemsin a health care environment
- Preference will be given to candidate with an understanding ofthe Diagnostic Imaging department workflow and / or
clinical work experience with Sectra PACS, Synapse CV, Powerscribeand Meditech.

dependent on demand and critical timelines
- Maintain and promote confidentiality
- Excellent customer service skills including ability to manageconflict situations
- Familiar with Provincial guidelines and legislation (e.g. MISGuidelines, eHealth Ontario, PHIPPA)
- Ability to analyze and optimize process flow
- Must be proficient in keyboarding and the use of MicrosoftOffice (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and corporate e mail
- Regular work attendance is imperative and the ability to workflexible hours as required
- Ability to work in a confidential setting independently andunder time constraints
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships withleadership, co workers, clients and other partners
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities through strong decisionmaking skills and attention to detail
- Must be self motivated and able to work with limiteddirection
- Experience working with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR)and / or Hospital Information System (HIS)
- Experience with industry standard DICOM tools and PACS systems.
Salary Range : $45.622 to 53.672
