Casino Ajax is seeking a Full-time Security Supervisor!
Under the general direction of Security Shift Manager & Security Manager, this position is responsible for the protection of company assets and contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Above all else, management must lead by example to create Great Experiences and Memories for all guests and colleagues. The Security Supervisor will help recruit, coach and lead a team of personable, service-oriented Security Officers who act as friendly and helpful ambassadors to our guests while protecting the company’s assets.
The ideal candidate is an energetic professional with proven knowledge, skills, and abilities, executing the following in support of the company’s vision, mission, and values :
- Responsible for the protection of company assets and property;
- Investigate, report and document all irregular, unusual, suspicious, or illegal activities prior to the end of shift;
- Respond to and ensure all alarms and incidents are addressed promptly and in accordance with established procedures;
- Ensure all security equipment is operational and report any malfunctions to the Security Manager
- Safeguard confidential information and prevent its improper disclosure or use;
- Monitor patron self-exclusion program as required;
- Answer emergency call and provide immediate care to ill and injured patrons and employees;
- Provide first aid and / or emergency medical care to affected personnel and provide a report to the responding EMS unit as required;
- Provide training and coaching to all Security Officers as needed;
- Responsible for the supervision and performance management of Security Officers;
- Ensure Security personnel are fully briefed prior to each shift;
- Responsible for completing daily reporting as required;
- Assist management with projects as needed;
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations;
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Security Shift Manager and / or Security Manager.
Successful applicants will demonstrate the following qualifications :
- 5+ years’ experience in Gaming Management, with at least 4 years in a senior management role
- Post-secondary education in Law and Security of equivalent experience in a related field;
- Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience in a related field;
- Valid First Aid / CPR certificate and Smart Serve certificate required;
- Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, analytical skills;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong problem-solving, reporting and conflict resolutions skills;
- People-focused and committed to service excellence;
- Proactive and solution-oriented with a drive to succeed;
- Ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the AGCO
Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnights.
