Summary:

The Senior Manager, Communications, will lead HUB’s external and internal communications strategy in Canada. This roleis responsible forshaping HUB’s public reputation through media relations, executive positioning, and thought leadership, while also strengthening internal engagement through strategicand relevantemployee communications. The ideal candidate will be a strong writer, strategic thinker, and collaborative partner who can connect external storytelling with internalengagement. This position reports to the Directorof Corporate Communications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a member of HUB’sCorporate Communications team—protecting and promoting HUB’s brand reputationinternally and externallyacross Canada.

• Develop and execute proactive media relations strategies, including securing interviews, managing story opportunities, and placing leadership-authored content.

• Build andmaintainrelationships with key national, regional, and trade media; collaborate with external PR agencies or consultants whenappropriate.

• Anticipate and address potential public relations opportunities or issues, advising Canadian leadership and communications partners onappropriate strategies.

• Lead the creation and editing of a wide range of communications materials for internal and external audiences, ensuring alignment with HUB’s brand voice and business goals.

• Partner closely with the President of Canada, Canadian leadershipteam,andinternal subject matter experts to advance HUB’s thought leadership and reputation.

• Collaboratewithregional leads tosupport internal communications initiatives that drive employee engagement and understanding of HUB’s strategy, values, and business priorities (e.g., executive messaging, internal announcements, town halls, intranetcontent).

• Leaddevelopment,translationand distributionof monthly internal communications to Canada employees.

• Oversee development and maintenance of HUB Canada media materials, including media kits, talking points, presentations, and digital/visual assets.

• Monitor, analyze, and report on media coverage and PR performance; share insights and recommendations to strengthen communication impact.

• Collaborate across the Corporate Communications and Marketing teams to align messaging, campaigns, and content across paid, earned, shared, and owned channels.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, ora relatedfield.

• 8–10 years of progressive experience in communications—preferably in a corporate or agency environment—with exposure to both internal and external communications.

• Proventrack recordin developing and executing media relations strategies and producing strong press and publicity materials.

• Demonstrated ability to translate complex business topics into clear, engaging messages for multiple audiences.

• Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.

• Experience supporting executives with message development and thought leadership initiatives.

• Knowledge of media monitoring, analytics, and database tools (e.g., Cision, Meltwater,Brandwatch, Critical Mention).

• Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 – $112,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
