THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking for a dedicated Senior Tax Analyst in our Tax Services team!
Job Responsibilities and Duties include :
- Researching, analyzing, and making recommendations to management for a wide variety of tax issues
- Performing technical tax review for personal and corporate tax returns and tax filings of moderate complexity
- Preparing complex personal and corporate tax returns
- Preparing trust / estate tax returns
- Drafting tax research memorandums that include relevant facts, analysis and conclusions using applicable tax laws
- Participating in technical discussions relating to client assignments
- Communicating with Canada Revenue Agency
- Identifying potential areas of risk and discuss those issues with management
- Assisting in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies for clients
- Communicating effectively with key stakeholders
- Identifying client planning and compliance opportunities during tax reviews
- Researching and drafting a portion of the proposal
- Acting on the formal or informal feedback from others
- Communicating file progress to person responsible for the engagement
- Understanding accountability and take ownership of own work
- Assisting with general administrative duties as required
- Participating in 3 business development activities, including identification of the opportunity
- Staying active in industry, professional, community, and firm events
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting
- CPA designation completed or in progress
- CCH Tax Prep programs and CaseWare experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within a public accounting firm, of which at least 1 year is in tax

Hours of Work & Remuneration
Wage (hourly) : $35.00 / hour exclusive of benefits
Hours : Full time, approximately 38,5 hours per week
