AECOM is searching for an Inspector for municipal infrastructure projects. This is a full-time position based in London, ON. Projects primarily consist of road reconstructions, land development, water distribution, sanitary and storm sewers, and water resources / stormwater management. The successful candidate will be assigned to a project based on their skillset and area of expertise. Project assignments can be in and out of the London Region.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Liaison on site with contractor, client, other approving authorities, including addressing resident concerns
- Oversee daily on-site operations
- Work closely with the Project Engineer and Project Manager, to ensure construction is in compliance with project specifications
- Preparation and maintenance of daily work logs and other project documentation and reporting;
- Schedule and conduct regular project meetings with the contractor and client
- Provide clarification of drawings and direction to the contractor, with remote support from the Project Engineer
- Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and / or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
- Carry out surveys and measurements for quantity calculations
- Complete surveys for the preparation of record drawings
- Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
- Assist with the preparation of the Project Construction Completion and Final Acceptance Certificate; and
- Training of entry-level employees.
