Belcan Inc. is looking for an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to aid with maintenance and installation of various aircraft structures.

As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will be :

  • Performing complex structure and aircraft installations, repairs, rework, and tests.
  • Completing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repairs, testing, inspections, installations, modifications and component changes of aircraft structures, components, and test equipment
  • Inspecting, testing and evaluating structural damage.
  • Completing required paperwork, certifications and releases for work completed to meet airworthiness standards.
  • Troubleshooting mechanical and structural problems.
  • Complying with all safety regulations.
  • Ensuring aircraft is ready for authorization or certification for maintenance release following any maintenance or repairs to the applicable airworthiness standard.
  • Ensuring all parts and assembly meet requirements in accordance with approved data.
  • Reporting unserviceable parts to the Person Responsible for Maintenance
  • Investigating aircraft system deficiencies and faults; find or discuss possible rectifications with applicable manuals and documents e.g., service bulletins and drawings.
  • Managing all parts and disposition of parts in assigned workstation by using proper documentation.
  • Instructing and assisting other team members in interpretation of blueprints, drawings, and engineering orders.
  • Training other team members in methods and procedures

Experience and Education :

  • Diploma from accredited Post secondary institution considered an asset.
  • Previous experience in general aviation maintenance considered an asset.
  • AME M1 license is a requirement.
  • Radio operators certificate considered an asset.
  • Pilots license considered an asset.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs (25 kg"s)
  • Skills and Knowledge :

  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  • Familiar with all functions of components and systems for installation
  • Possess skill in close tolerance work, e.g., drilling, reaming, ship fitting parts, etc.
  • Thorough knowledge in the use of multiple measuring devices with ability to use within specified tolerance.
  • Ability to use computer programs such as Excel and Word
  • Ability to navigate systems such as Smarteam and Navision considered an asset.
  • Ability to research and understand the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CAR"s)and FAA Regulations (FAR"s)
