The Role :

Canco is seeking a driven and passionate Human Resources Manager to support the HR Function from a corporate standpoint. The ideal candidate will possess the skill set to lead the HR department in functions such as recruitment, benefits / RRSP administration, immigration, and performance management.

As a pivotal member of the HR team, you will be instrumental in ensuring smooth and efficient HR support to all Canco sites across Canada.

Responsibilities :

  • Handle all the affairs related to staff hiring, promoting, termination etc.
  • Review existing policies and procedures in relation to safety, compliance and WorkSafe.
  • Prepare new policies and procedures as required based on the assessment of the Company.
  • Provide support and advice to the Payroll team.
  • Communicate all payroll changes for employees to Payroll team.
  • Support the Onboarding process for all new employees at the Company
  • Manage talent acquisition process which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants.
  • Conduct and Manage offboarding and exit interviews.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and provincial regulations and recommend best practices.
  • Coordinate with various immigration agencies, to support employees' immigration needs.
  • Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.

What You Bring :

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or relevant or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR Generalist or Manager experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Employment Standards and Human Rights Legislation for various provinces.
  • Expertise in Human Resources processes and best practices.
  • Excellent professionalism, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse employees and external parties.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and management skills.

This role is a Permanent / Full-Time position located in Kelowna BC.
