Agropur is looking for Production Supervisor (vacant position) afternoon shift to join is Don Mills team.

The Production Supervisor monitors operations of the production department to ensure that qualitative and quantitative measures included in the operating plan are met. Specific focus is on sanitation and quality results (HACCP and SQF), health and safety, good manufacturing practices and productivity. The incumbent participates to maintain the requirements on food safety and quality. Other areas of focus are employee relations, production scheduling including staffing for open shifts, cost reductions, liaising with our chemical supplier and customer satisfaction.

Working hours are from 2 : 30 pm to11 : 00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Salary range 004 : 78 300$ to 97 900$ (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position.)

What’s involved in this role

More specifically, the Don Mills Production Supervisor’s responsibilities will include :

Ensure compliance of health and safety regulations, and ability to implement programs to improve safety culture.

Provide leadership, direction and coaching to the production team;

Promote and enhance a positive employee relation atmosphere including efforts to continuously improve teamwork and establish high levels of employee involvement.

Ensures consistent application of best practices towards product evaluation, food safety and quality to support and maintain Agropur’s quality standards;

Supports the operation of the HACCP team to ensure that the facility and documentation is suitable for third party / customer audits to maintain the SQF / HACCP status at the plant;

Monitor and ensure efficiency of plant equipment and resources and ensure production requirements are met on time;

Track efficiencies & productivity, measure results and communicate performance­.

What you need to join our team

College Diploma or University Degree in an Engineering or science field.

3-5 years’ experience as a supervisor with direct involvement in a unionized production facility.

Experience in food industry.

Computer literacy, ideally with MS Office (Word and Excel).

Knowledge of quality assurance systems (HACCP and SQF), an asset.
