The Position

Keyera is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Corporate Reporting team on a permanent, full-time basis.

This role will participate in completing the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting cycle processes and related analysis and will assist with accounting research responsibilities.

Responsibilities

As a member of the Corporate Reporting team, the successful candidate will be given responsibilities that include, but are not limited to :

  • Assist in the monthly and quarterly financial reporting cycle by preparing working papers and related analysis to support the consolidated financial statements and accompanying notes
  • Provide support in the preparation of supporting documentation for the MD&A and securities filings
  • Maintain awareness and research new and emerging IFRS accounting standards
  • Research acceptable accounting treatment and disclosure alternatives for complex and non-routine transactions
  • Prepare memos documenting accounting treatment for complex transactions
  • Ad hoc assignments supporting Corporate Reporting and other stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will be well-organized, energetic and service-oriented with the following qualifications :

  • Professional accounting or finance designation with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience and industry experience
  • Financial reporting and / or accounting research experience preferred
  • Comprehensive experience with IFRS
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a keen focus on attention to details
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability in managing multiple tasks and meeting strict reporting deadlines
  • Works will in a team or independent setting
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Qbyte and Optix reporting considered an asset
