Your future team :
The Continuous improvement Manager will directly report to the Planning Director and work along side other planning team members.
What you will be doing :
The Continuous Improvement Manager, Planning will support the Supply Planning department by leading business process evaluations, process optimization projects.
The main purpose will require an understanding of the S&OP process while working closely with production scheduling to ensure service, capacity and inventory goals are achieved.
Manage allocation to ensure available production capacity is being fully utilized.
Reporting S&OP status to Management and building scenarios for future eventualities
Improve, develop and design reports required to ensure efficient usage of the production lines
Understanding production line scheduling for SFG and FG maximizing efficiencies and reducing waste while complying with campaign and sequencing rules.
Work with the team to ensure Planned Availability achieves service goals
Manage production capacity to ensure safety buffers and allocation to determine lead times and for customer orders to be placed correctly.
Manage exceptions disrupting orders being ready on time while keeping production efficiency (i.e., delayed orders).
Respond to Customer Service requests in a timely manner.
Track capacity to avoid overbooking and gaps on production lines.
Update and analyse Production KPIs (schedule adherence etc)
Liaise with other departments in Supply Chain as needed.
Ensure there is a plan for any stock build prior to yearly maintenance shutdowns.
Support the Supply Planning team to identify and priorities projects and initiatives
Ensure collaboration and open communication about existing and future projects
Working closely with the Service Model project ensuring the needs of Supply Planning are considered.
What you bring :
Degree in Business, Operations Management or related quantitative field.
5+ years of experience of supply planning / scheduling experience in a complex, multi-site, growth-oriented manufacturing organization.
Strong Project Management and facilitation skills
Experience with SAP or similar ERP system is an essential
Strong communication skills, as well as excellent meeting facilitation and presentation skills
Experience in demand and supply planning (S&OP process)
Experience in both Made to Order (MTO) and Made to Stock (MTS)
Experience of leading projects, Operational excellence and optimisation
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
