Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (HET)
Compensation : STARTING RATE OF $ PER HOUR
Work Shift : Full-Time 5 and 2 shifts (DAY SHIFTS ONLY)
Diversified Transportation is currently seeking a full-time Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic for its Edmonton-based shop.
Reporting to the Shop Foreman, you will work in a fast-paced environment maintaining a fleet of modern highway motorcoaches, site service vehicles, and shuttles.

Job Duties & Responsibilities :
- Maintenance & repairs of motor coaches
- CVSA Inspections
- Respond to breakdowns
- Supervision of apprentices
Qualifications & Skills Required :
- Ability to Lift approximately 50 lbs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of computer technology trends in the service industry, diagnostic programs and service manuals
- Ability to develop new solutions and techniques to solve problems related to new and / or different equipment
- Keep maintenance reports and documentation
- Ability to obtain clearance for the following tasks are required : Driving record check (abstract)Physical Demands Analysis (PDA)Drug & Alcohol Test (DNA)Criminal record check
Education Requirements :
- Certified Heavy Equipment Technician (recognized in Canada)
- All levels will be considered
- Valid Class 1, 2Q or 3Q driver’s license is considered an asset
- CVIP Certifications considered an asset
