Position Description
The Assistant to the Executive Officers is a strategic advisor who provides high-level, confidential support to the Secretary-Treasurer and Executive Vice-President across all their responsibilities, and to the Assistant to the President as needed. This position plays a critical role in supporting executive functions, navigating complex organizational dynamics, and advancing equity and inclusion across the union’s priorities.
The successful candidate will be a skilled communicator, deeply committed to anti-racism and equity, and capable of operating with exceptional discretion and sound judgment. Our Executive Officers count on this position to ensure that strategic and operational initiatives advance in a coordinated and effective way. The position can also be designated to represent the Secretary-Treasurer and / or Executive Vice-President in planning and implementation of the union’s programs, key external relationships, program updates with the management team, and to oversee the preparation and organization of their priority work and schedule.
This position is full-time working at our Head Office in Richmond Hill, Ontario.
