Overview of the role

The Executive Director (ED) promotes the vision, mission and values of the Orléans-Cumberland Community Resource Centre (OCCRC) by aligning strategic initiatives across the organization with the smooth operational functioning of the Centre.

The ED is responsible for ensuring that the Centre meets the needs of the community. They will identify, consolidate and develop the necessary programs, as well as links with the community and partners to ensure the Centre's sustainability.

The ED contributes to the overall culture of the organization, fostering innovative programming, collegial support and collaboration, and community engagement.

The ED must be an enterprising leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Areas of Accountabilities

Strategic Leadership - Based on the strategic plan and under the direction of the Board of Directors, the ED develops and recommends policies, business plans and decision-making options that are consistent with the organization's vision, mission and values.

People Leadership - The ED leads, inspires, develops and mentors OCCRC staff and fosters a work culture that encourages ethical practices, individual integrity and social responsibility.

Operational Leadership - The ED oversees the Centre's resources, creates appropriate organizational structures and ensures the efficient and costeffective use of its financial, human and operational resources.

Board of Directors Governance and Support - The ED works closely with the Board of Directors, ensuring communication and openness in sharing and receiving information.

Business Development - The ED is responsible for identifying opportunities for the Center to realize new projects and establish funding relationships to advance the realization of the vision, as well as overseeing the development of new contracts and partnership agreements.

Financial Management - The ED is responsible for the financial health and accountability of the organization and assumes overall responsibility for improving its financial performance.

Government and Partner Relations - The ED establishes and maintains relationships of trust, ethics and influence and represents the Centre at the highest level with a wide range of interested parties, not limited to various levels of government and the media.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • A university degree in business / management or a related field or an appropriate combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • 3-5 years of experience as an executive leader in the not-for-profit sector.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in strategic planning, policy analysis, fundraising, and financial management.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with municipal and provincial social service systems.
  • Strong skills in critical analysis, problem-solving, planning, decisionmaking, leadership, organization and change management.
  • The ability to prioritize, be flexible and meet deadlines.
  • The ability to work in a diverse, multicultural and multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Bilingualism - English / French is a must.

Sommaire du poste

La direction générale (DG) fait la promotion de la vision, de la mission et des valeurs du Centre de ressources communautaires Orléans-Cumberland (CRCOC) en harmonisant les initiatives stratégiques dans l'ensemble de l'organisation avec le bon fonctionnement opérationnel du Centre.

La direction générale est chargée de veiller à ce que le Centre réponde aux besoins de la communauté. Il identifiera, consolidera et développera les programmes nécessaires, ainsi que les liens avec la communauté et les intervenants pour assurer la durabilité du Centre.

La direction générale contribue à la culture générale de l'organisation, en favorisant une programmation novatrice, le soutien et la collaboration collégiaux, et l'engagement communautaire.

La direction générale doit être un leader entreprenant, doté d'excellentes aptitudes de communication et de relations interpersonnelles.

Responsabilités particulières à l'emploi

Leadership stratégique - En se basant sur le plan stratégique, et sous la direction du Conseil d'administration, la direction générale élabore et recommande des politiques, des plans d'affaires et des options de prises de décisions qui sont conformes à la vision, à la mission et aux valeurs de l'organisation.

Leadership des personnes - La direction générale dirige, inspire, développe et encadre le personnel du CRCOC. La direction générale favorise une culture de travail qui encourage les pratiques éthiques, l'intégrité individuelle et la responsabilité sociale.

Leadership opérationnel - La direction générale supervise les ressources du Centre, crée les structures organisationnelles appropriées et veille à l'utilisation efficace et rentable de ses ressources financières, humaines et opérationnelles.

Gouvernance et soutien au Conseil d'administration - la direction générale travail de près avec le Conseil d'administration, assure la communication en faisant preuve d'ouverture dans le partage et la réception de l'information.

Développement des affaires - La direction générale est responsable d'identifier des opportunités permettant au Centre de réaliser de nouveaux projets et d'établir des relations de financement afin de faire progresser la réalisation de la vision, ainsi que de superviser l'élaboration de nouveaux contrats et accords de partenariat.

Gestion des ressources financières - La direction générale est chargée de veiller à la santé financière et à la responsabilité de l'organisation, et assume la responsabilité générale de l'amélioration de la performance financière de celle-ci.

Relations avec les intervenants et le gouvernement - La direction générale établit et entretient des relations de confiance, d'éthique, d'influence, et représente le Centre au plus haut niveau auprès d'un large éventail d'intervenants, sans se limiter aux divers paliers de gouvernement et aux médias.

Qualifications et compétences

  • Un diplôme universitaire en affaires / gestion ou dans un domaine connexe ou une combinaison appropriée d'éducation et d'expérience peut être envisagée.
  • 3-5 années d'expérience en tant que leader exécutif dans le secteur à but non lucratif.
  • Bonne connaissance et expérience dans la planification stratégique, l'analyse des politiques, levée de fond, et la gestion financière.
  • Connaissance des systèmes de services sociaux municipaux et provinciaux et expérience de travail avec ces systèmes.
  • De solides compétences en analyse critique, résolution de problèmes, planification, prise de décision, leadership, organisation et gestion du changement.
  • La capacité d'établir des priorités, d'être flexible et de respecter les délais.
  • La capacité de travailler dans un environnement d'équipe diversifiée, multiculturelle et multidisciplinaire.
  • Bilinguisme - anglais / français nécessaire.
