Chemical Process Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a Chemical Process Operator for a direct hire opportunity in a continuous process manufacturing environment within the chemicals and petro-chemicals industry. This role is ideal for a dependable, safety-focused operator with hands-on industrial experience and an interest in hazardous materials handling, chemical transfer, wastewater systems, and production operations.

The Chemical Process Operator will work as part of a collaborative shift team, supporting production targets while maintaining strict safety, environmental, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor process equipment, pumps, valves, hoses, hoists, and related production systems in a continuous manufacturing setting.
- Safely handle chemicals and hazardous liquid materials while wearing required PPE and following all site safety and environmental procedures.
- Take routine field readings, identify operating issues, and communicate equipment concerns or process abnormalities to the Shift Leader.
- Assist with small repairs, cleaning duties, basic maintenance support, and coordination of more complex maintenance requirements.
- Monitor and support wastewater, sanitary water, and storm water systems in accordance with operating procedures.
- Follow production, quality, safety, environmental, and Kosher practice requirements while contributing to team performance.

Job Details:

- Pay rate: $26.00 per hour.
- Shift premium: 5% of hourly wage.
- Schedule: 12-hour continental shifts.
- Shift times: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- Location: Welland, ON
