Job description

Totally Tutors™ matches students in Grades 1–12 with qualified tutors based on academic needs, learning style, personality, and interests. We are hiring tutors now for in-home sessions in Etobicoke, West Toronto, Midtown, Central Toronto, and East York.

We’re seeking tutors in:

  • Writing
  • Early reading and phonics
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Humanities

Requirements

  • You MUST hold an OCT or another Canadian provinces teaching qualification

OR

  • A teacher candidate in Ontario currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Education program

  • A lecturer or course instructor at an accredited Canadian university or college

Pay and Schedule:

  • Starting at $40/hour, depending on experience and qualifications
  • Set your own schedule with flexible afternoon, evening, and weekend hours.
  • Travel: Students are within a 20-minute commute of you by TTC or car

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide one-on-one tutoring in the student’s home (an adult is always present).

  • Plan lessons tailored to each student, aligned with the Ontario Curriculum.

  • Track student progress and share updates with parents.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Prior tutoring or classroom experience.

  • Strong working knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum.

  • Ability to adapt to different learning needs and build positive relationships with students and families.
