The Department of Molecular Genetics at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto (St. George campus), invites applications for a full-time tenure stream position in the area of Virology. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, with an anticipated start date of January 1, 2027.
The expected salary range is $125,000–$155,000 CAD per annum, depending on experience. Negotiations beyond this range will be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates.
The successful candidate will join a vibrant intellectual community of world-class scholars at Canada’s leading university. The Department of Molecular Genetics holds a leadership position in Canada and internationally as a premier venue for biomedical and life sciences research and education. The department’s teaching and research span areas including Cellular and Molecular Structure and Function; Computational and Systems Biology; Functional Genomics and Proteomics; Genetic Models of Development and Disease; Molecular Medicine and Human Genetics; and Molecular Microbiology and Infectious Disease. The Department offers research-intensive graduate programs, professional programs in Medical Genomics and Genetic Counselling, and undergraduate programs in Genetics and Microbiology.
