Job Title: Software Developer - ETL
Location: Toronto
Work Model: Onsite

Must Haves
- 5+ years' Experience with analysis, design, developing, unit testing, defect fixing and other necessary tasks in data warehousing, BI environment.
- 5+ years' experience in designing and developing Crystal reports, Power BI, and BOE reports
- 5+ years' experience in Designing, developing and testing Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
- 5+ years' experience in Designing, developing and testing in Informatica.
- Experience with technology solutions and development methodologies
- Experience in analyzing and designing changes to existing web-based software solutions
- Complete knowledge of SDLC methodologies, e.g. Agile development.
- Experience in RDBMS design concepts.
- Experience with Data Warehouse design, Reporting and ETL concepts.
- Experience with Data Warehouse architecture, design, dimensional modeling, development and deployment of business intelligence systems.

Description
- 'Employment Ontario' is one of the major programs delivered by the Employment and Training Division of the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.
- The Employment Ontario Information Systems (EOIS) is the major IT system that supports the administration of these programs.
- The operating Environment includes JEE, CURAM, Crystal Reports, Oracle SQL/PL SQL, Power BI, Oracle Database, Business Objects Universe and Dashboarding, WebI, Bursting technologies, and Informatica ETL.
Responsibilities
- Develop ETL scripts to transfer and transform data from OLTP database to Data Warehouse and Data marts
- Develop and maintain BOE reports
- Communicate your progress clearly and timely to the management team
General Skills
- Ability to collaborate with IT Professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle
- Experience in design, code, test, debug and document applications
- Experience in the use of object and/or third generation language development tools
- Experience in the use of information retrieval packages using query languages
- Experience eliciting and documenting information from diverse business area stakeholders and subject matter experts
- A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge and experience with programming Internet-ready applications
- Knowledge and experience in rapid application development (RAD) methodologies
- Experience with middleware and gateways
- Experience reviewing, analyzing, and modifying product installation scripts including encoding, testing, debugging
- Ability to provide post-implementation support and resolve any post-implementation technical issues
- Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards
