Sr Consultant, Governance and Compliance - 92500-1

As a member of the HR Process Delivery team, you will support and drive our client's response to the new OSFI Integrity & Security guidelines for background screening. This includes developing a global screening framework and approach. You'll operate in a hub-and-spoke model, collaborating with various background screening partners across all global jurisdictions to achieve standardization and ensure the integrity and completeness of screening processes. You will also serve as a key liaison for various risk and governance stakeholders.

Responsibilities
•Support the implementation of a new global background screening framework and approach.
•Collaborate with international partners to standardize screening processes across all global jurisdictions.
•Ensure the integrity and completeness of background screening procedures.
•Engage with various risk and governance stakeholders to maintain compliance with regulatory guidelines.
•Design new processes to manage risk while maintaining a positive candidate experience.
•Develop and maintain key relationships across different regions and business units.


Qualifications
•5+ years of experience in risk management, audit, and regulatory compliance, with a preference for OSFI familiarity.
•Proven success in global process optimization, particularly within HR and background screening.
•Strong governance and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working across cross-functional and international teams.
•Solid project management skills with experience overseeing complex initiatives and milestone tracking.
•Demonstrated leadership, relationship-building, and executive-level communication skills.
•Proficiency in data analysis and dashboard development using tools like Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
•Flexibility to support global operations, with an understanding of different time zones and regional standards.
•A strong commitment to integrity, compliance, and balanced risk management.
Nice to Haves:
•Familiarity with HR technologies such as Workday, SuccessFactors, or other background screening platforms.
•Expertise in change management, specifically with methodologies like Prosci or ADKAR.
•Experience in vendor management.
•Experience working in the banking industry.


Summary
On behalf of our client, a leader in the financial industry, we're seeking a Sr Consultant, Global Background Screening Governance. This is an exciting 12-month contract opportunity for a professional to play a critical role in ensuring compliance and standardizing global background screening processes for our client's employees and contractors. You will be an individual contributor, working within a larger team, and will report directly to the hiring manager.
This hybrid role requires you to work on-site at the client's office in Toronto, three days a week.
