Overview
Responsible and accountable to the Manager of Professional Practice, for the provision of outpatient hand therapy in a fast paced, high volume hospital clinic setting. This position is responsible for all aspects of care delivery, education, profession/program development and quality of service.
Education
• Graduate of an accredited university program in OT/PT
• Masters in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy or equivalent required
• License to practice with the College of Occupational Therapists or Physiotherapists of Ontario required
Qualifications
•
• Minimum 2 years of recent related experience with acute hand injuries, both surgical and non-surgical required
• Skilled in the management of hand injuries/conditions both surgical and non-surgical
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced, high volume clinic environment
• Able to work in a hand therapy model of care environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Willingness to participate/lead health service councils and task groups
• Motivated to practice in accordancewith the mission and vision of hospital/health service
• Good work and attendance record required
