Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate a variety of design-thinking activities and collaborative sessions to understand the infrastructure requirements needed to host the BMC Helix ITSM Solution.
- Plan and execute research to understand expectations, behaviors and needs to inform design decisions.
- Develop user personas, journey maps, service design blueprints, information architecture diagrams and other design artefacts as suits the needs of the migration project or migration team.
- Collaborate with and advise the product and infrastructure teams on architectural design.
1. Architectural Document
- Experience and skills on upgrading applications to Cloud or SaaS environments are especially desired.
- Experience implementing the solutions at a government or other large organizations.
- Able to analyze a large BMC Remedy implementation, identifying customizations, integrations and other additions to the out of the box solution.
- Specific technology skills desired, along with BMC Remedy skills, include working with Cloud environments such as AWS and Azure, managed Kubernetes environments such as AKS and EKS.
- Additional experience and skills with Open Source and Cloud software including but not limited to: Linux (RHEL, CentOS or similar), Harbor, Jenkins and Kubernetes would be useful. A solid understanding of ITSM processes is required and the ability to work alongside government process experts to address any concerns raised.
- Experience researching and applying industry best practices to support the migration and gather the data to inform the design decisions, providing rationale for design decisions in group settings with multiple stakeholders. Communication, negotiation and partnership skills.
- Architecture skills and Project Management skills.

2. Project Planning/Management
- Using communication skills to discuss issues, seek common ground between parties, lead the development of the migration plan.
- Ability to communicate visually as well as in verbal and written formats.
- Strong facilitation skills to lead design discussions and negotiations, present recommendations and advice to stakeholders on web/content design and strategy.
- Ability to collaborate and provide leadership and advice on plan development.
- Proven experience building relationships liaising with external partners and vendors to coordinate projects and share information.
