We are looking for On-Call / Casual Security Officers for Castlegar Airport with weekday and weekend availability. Payrate : $19 / hr Your Must-Haves : BC Security License Have lived in Canada for 5 or more years in order to obtain airport clearance 1-2 year's of Security experience You have excellent problem solving skills Excellent attention to detail You have excellent verbal and written English communication skills Comfortable standing for long periods and working both indoors and outdoors in a range of weather conditions Some of your responsibilities include : Patrolling site, observing and reporting any occurrences / breaches immediately Offering first class customer service to both client and general public Proactively responding to and resolving emergency situations and conflicts Maintaining detailed and accurate daily logs and incident reports Effectively communicating problems or concerns to the Site Supervisor Ensuring that all incidents are properly recorded in the occurrence log / incident form Contacting and liaising with police personnel if necessary Maintain ongoing knowledge of and perform all duties with high safety standards Your Nice-To-Haves : Previous experience working at an airport Bylaw level 1 Hold OFA 1 or OFA 2 What’s in it for you Opportunity for growth Work for a reputable and nationally known company A challenging yet rewarding work environment Flexibility of rotations and sites to suit your requirements Free uniforms Paid on-site training Gain valuable experience as a stepping stone into a law enforcement career Our Story Commissionaires BC is a Canadian, not-for-profit security / enforcement organization that has been in business since 1927.
