The impact you will have :

The Corporate Strategy team at Softchoice is a highly regarded, high impact team that partners with senior executives on a range of topics, including growth strategy, business / category strategy, competitive strategy and disruption in the marketplace.

The role reports to the Manager, Strategy and the team reports into the Sr. Director, Corporate Strategy, Planning & Analytics and has direct access to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).

The Strategy Associate / Senior will be focused on developing strategic insights and driving outcomes. The ideal candidate will use their strong analytical and problem-solving skills to uncover strategic insights on our sales organization, customers, products, services, vendors, and partners.

Armed with insights and facts, they will use their compelling storyboarding / presentation skills and influencing abilities to help business leaders to drive outcomes.

You will also be the trusted advisor and thought partner to senior business leaders.

What you'll do :

Team-up with senior leaders to define, launch & drive critical strategic initiatives in one or more areas

Define problems to be solved using a hypothesis-driven approach and develop project work plans

Own the building of financial models, complex analyses and then synthesize into actionable insights

Create compelling storyboards and deliver presentations to reach stakeholder alignment

Incorporate feedback from stakeholder discussions to improve quality of deliverables

Partner with sales, business development, technology and other groups to put insights into action

Take a lead role with other ad-hoc strategic programs and analysis (e.g., C-suite requests)

What you’ll bring to the table :

3 years of work experience in business strategy, strategy & operations, sales planning, analytics or management consulting

2 years of experience working with executive stakeholders

Strong focus on strategic thinking and analytical problem solving; high proficiency in leveraging a variety of datasets to conduct strategic analysis and make fact-based decisions

Strong financial modelling skills and ability to conduct quantitative analysis

Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills to engage with various stakeholders

A comfort level with ambiguity and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment

Intellectual curiosity, self-motivated and strong ability to multi-task and prioritize time

An attention to detail with a focus on results and bias for action

A team player and not afraid to get hands dirty

Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet (e.g., Excel) and presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint)

Comfort extracting data from data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI)

Statistical experience an asset

Interest in Technology industry or industry experience in high tech strategy an asset

Post-Secondary Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related field in a quantitative discipline. Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA), preferred
