Robert Half is seeking Cost Accountant/ Analyst for a long term contract with client in the Manufacturing industry. The Cost Accountant will assist in the control and maintenance of the company's standard cost system. Perform month-end and year-end closing functions that pertain to Sales, Cost of Sales and Manufacturing Variances. Prepare detailed Cost, Sales and Inventory reconciliation. Post month-end and related journal entries. Additionally will be involved to prepare intercompany reconciliation, including markup schedule and inter-company cost transactions differences.

Responsibilities of the Cost Accountant/Analyst:

• Support the total cost management systems.

• Support the variance analysis of production and OH accounts.

• Support for gross margin analysis.

• Support the budgeted cost maintenance.

• Complete account reconciliations as assigned.

• Support tooling inventory and costing.

• Support the reviewing of the requisition log.

• Assist in the preparation of year-end audit package.

• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.

• Follow all departmental and general procedures where applicable.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

Strong In-Depth 5+ years of Cost Accounting Experience

Industrial experience in Manufacturing, preferred in Customized production environment

Strong computer and analytical skills

Thorough working experience with ERP systems

Advance Excel skills with a comfort navigating large scale spreadsheets

Enrolled in the CPA at the advanced level
