Job Description :
Spearhead month-end closing activities, entries and reporting including general ledger maintenance
Reconciliations of various general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
Participate in reconciliation of inventory counts and analyze variances
Assist in the completion of government filings - i.e. EHT, HST, WSIB returns, tax installments, etc.
Assist in reconciling bank accounts, daily deposits, cheque runs, and other banking duties
Create / alter Sage Business Intelligence reports in SAGE 300 using Transactional SQL language
Develop financial models through benchmarking and process analysis
Assist in development of Annual budget and quarterly forecasting
Generate and manage Sales reports for Sales reps and financial reports for management and update and modify as necessary
Compare anticipated and actual financial results and identify areas of improvement
Processing of wire transfers / EFT for foreign suppliers
Provide ad-hoc assistance to other projects
Job Requirements :
BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics is preferred
Proven 2+ years of work experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role in a Manufacturing company
Deep understanding of Sage 300 ERP and Sage BI & SEI reporting tools
2+ years Transact SQL experience and VBA scripts
Expertise in MS Excel (creating Macros, spreadsheets and using advanced formulas)
Experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing company
Familiarity with finance databases
Excellent analytical skills
Ability to present financial data using detailed reports and charts
Demonstrable strategic thinking skills
