As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Business Analyst to support our Director of Business Analytics, driving insights that will help shape our strategic decisions and enhance our data capabilities.
Position Overview :
The Business Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the Director of Business Analytics by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data from various sources to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions.
This role requires a curious, detail-oriented, and analytical thinker who is comfortable working with large datasets and creating reports for multiple stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and have a passion for using data to solve complex business problems.
Key Responsibilitie s :
- Data Collection & Integration :
- Assist in collecting data from various sources such as retailer portals, Amazon Vendor & Seller Central, Nielsen databases, and loyalty programs.
- Clean, consolidate, and organize data to ensure accuracy and consistency in reports.
- Support the Director in maintaining and improving data management processes, ensuring data integrity and timelines.
- Performance Reporting :
- Develop and maintain automated reports and dashboards using tools like Excel and Power BI.
- Provide regular performance reports for sales, marketing, and product teams, focusing on key metrics such as sales trends, market share, pricing, and promotional effectiveness.
- Prepare data visualizations that make insights easily understandable for non-technical stakeholders.
- Consumer & Shopper Insights :
- Analyze shopper and consumer data from Nielsen Home Panels, loyalty databases, and other sources to understand purchase behavior, demographics, and brand loyalty.
- Support the Director in integrating consumer insights with sales performance data to create a holistic view of market trends and opportunities.
- Assist in identifying trends in consumer behavior that could impact business strategy and product positioning.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Work closely with marketing, sales, and demand planning teams to understand their data needs and provide tailored analysis.
- Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations for improving pricing, promotions, and product assortment.
- Serve as a resource for data-related inquiries from internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clarity across departments.
- Process Improvement & Efficiency :
- Continuously identify areas for improving data analysis and reporting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Support the Director in implementing new tools or methods that enhance the organization’s data capabilities.
- Assist in training team members on the use of reporting tools and best practices in data analysis.
Required Qualifications :
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience : 2-4 years of experience in a business analyst or data analyst role, ideally within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
- Technical Proficiency :
- Advanced skills in Excel, including Power Query, Pivot Tables, and complex formulas.
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau for creating dashboards and visualizations.
- Analytical Skills : Strong ability to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and draw actionable insights.
- Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
- Attention to Detail : Strong attention to detail, with a focus on data accuracy and consistency.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills : Demonstrates the ability to work effectively in a team environment, building positive relationships with colleagues across different departments.
- Excellent Organization : Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Time Management skills : Demonstrates effective time management skills, balancing short-term tasks with long-term strategic objectives to deliver results efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience working with CPG data sources such as Nielsen, Circana, or retailer loyalty databases.
- Familiarity with Amazon Vendor Central and other e-commerce data portals.
- Basic knowledge of Python, SQL, or other programming languages that can be applied to data querying is a plus.
- Experience creating reports and insights for cross-functional teams, including marketing and sales.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
