Our client, a well-established, privately-owned construction services provider with over three decades of experience in the Canadian market is hiring a Project Manager to join their team.
They have successfully completed a wide variety of projects, focusing on sectors in the Industrial, Commercial, Institutional and Heavy Civil market segments, with a key focus on Water / Wastewater Construction.
Over the years, they have earned a reputation for delivering high-quality results projects, from smaller-scale initiatives to larger developments valued between $1m and $100m, with a key emphasis on maintaining safety, quality, and client satisfaction at every stage.
Responsibilities :
- Leading safety initiatives for the project team and subcontractors
- Coordinating and overseeing daily project operations, including planning and scheduling
- Managing and administering both prime contracts and subcontracts
- Leading negotiations and awarding of subcontracts
- Monitoring and managing the project budget and billing processes
- Overseeing contract-related tasks, such as RFIs, Submittals, and Change Orders
- Building and nurturing strong, positive relationships with clients, consultants, architects, and subcontractors
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in Institutional, Commercial, Industrial, and / or Water / Wastewater construction projects
- Possession of a professional engineering designation (P.Eng), Gold Seal Certification (GSC), or a project management certification (PMP)
- LEED experience or LEED AP designation is considered an asset
- Strong understanding of the local construction market
- Proven experience in managing or supervising large-scale Institutional, Commercial, Industrial, and / or Water / Wastewater projects ranging from $10 million to $100 million
- Experience with the commissioning and startup of complex mechanical, process, and electrical systems
- Exceptional leadership, motivational, and mentoring abilities
- Excellent management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and French
- A service-driven, results-oriented approach to project delivery
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules
- Eligibility for security clearances and possession of a valid driver’s license
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
