We are seeking a reliable forklift operator / warehouse worker to perform picking orders, shipping, receiving, and inventory control.

This will be a 3-month contract with the possibility of an extension.

Day Shift : 8 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pm

Pay : $20.00 - $23.00 / hour

Location : Mississauga

Transit & Car Accessible, Free parking available

Weekly pay plus 4% vacation pay on every paycheque

Job Duties :

• Ensure that the warehouse is maintained daily in a clean and orderly manner
• Ensure the proper maintenance of the material handling equipment.
• Receive and ship goods in accordance with customer requirements
• Maintain all shipping and receiving information
• Transfer received materials into warehouse storage on a timely basis.
• Picking of materials based upon "pick lists" for Manufacturing Work Orders and Packaging Work Orders.
• Return excess (return-to-stock) materials to the warehouse following completion of manufacturing or packaging operations and dispose of line waste
• Complete all Packaging and Raw material sample requests.
• Investigate and determine the root cause of all inventory discrepancies. Report findings to the Warehouse Manager and Inventory Analyst.
• Perform cycle counts documenting and charting results.
• Maintain warehouse locator system as specified in terms of raw material, bulk drug, and packaging material placement (bin locations),
• Complete documentation and dispose of all rejected materials
• Maintain the required storage conditions of goods in the warehouse.
• Performs capacity studies for the Warehouse Manager on an ongoing basis document and chart findings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience / Qualifications :

• Minimum high school diploma (post-secondary preferred).
• Ability to operate and have a valid license for counterbalance, stand-up reach forklift, man-up turret-truck, order picker, and walkie.

Fall Arrest also required

• Effective written and verbal communication skills required
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience in a warehouse.
• Utilizing a personal computer for data entry is required. Knowledge in SAP, Windows, Word, and Excel desired.
• Able to use RF Scanner
• Strong math skills and a basic understanding of inventory.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a continuous basis
• Flexible with the ability to adapt, respond quickly, and manage change in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands / Working Conditions :

• Drive an automatic hydraulic lift. This involves standing on the control platform and body twisting.
• Manually handling cases and drums of materials at times.
• Pulling, pushing, and pumping with manual pump truck skids up to 400 lbs.
• Occasional work inside walk-in refrigerator (2 8 C).
