Maintenance Lead Hand

One of Canada's leading manufacturers of protein products is seeking a Maintenance Lead Hand for their facility in Toronto, ON. The Maintenance Lead Hand will play a crucial role in the plants production and operations division, ensuring that all mechanical equipment and systems are operating efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain all mechanical equipment and systems within the plant.
• Conduct daily pre-operational inspections and perform necessary repairs.
• Execute preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment as per work order requests, equipment stoppages, or breakdowns.
• Assign tasks to employees, provide adequate training, and ensure all tasks are completed to specifications.
• Adhere to and utilize company policies/procedures and HACCP regulations.

Qualifications

• Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) or Electrician (309A) certification.
• Minimum of two years experience performing repairs in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems is an asset.
• Proficiency in using power and manual tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Competitive (base rate) of $42 per hour.
