What we offer :

Competitive Salary of $47.59 per hour, and afternoon premium.

Afternoon shift position - 2 : 30pm to 11pm .

Uniforms and Safety Shoes : supplied by the Company.

Vacation 2 weeks per year from years 1-4, increasing to 3 weeks per year.

4 float days per year.

Tool allowance of 455$ / year .

What’s involved in the Milright role :

Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, VFDs, electrical instrumentation and sensors, lighting fixtures and replace damaged or broken wires and cables.

Repairs and replaces electric and electronic components such as motors, contactors, relays, switches or sensors, PLC’s, light curtains, motor controls, VFDs, etc.

Installs, examines, replace or repair electric wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.

Performs preventive and predictive maintenance on production and production supporting equipment as outlined in the individual work instructions.

Troubleshoot programmable logic controllers and VFD’s on packaging and processing machinery.

Test for malfunctions, verify repairs and document of all programming changes.

Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations including the use of personal protective equipment

Be willing to upgrade skills to deal with new technology, including the use of a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)

Work with operators and other trades as required to achieve satisfactory results

Support the development of autonomous, preventive, and predictive maintenance programs

Qualifications :

Candidate must have a current Province of Ontario Industrial Electrician 442A License.

The successful candidate must have a minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food, beverage, dairy, or pharmaceutical industry would be an asset.

Experience in troubleshooting with Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLC and FactoryTalk View HMI and SCADA system

Must have a thorough knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code

Experience with industrial electrical power systems, industrial control systems, PLC’s, motors, VFD’s, and industrial communication systems.

Able to create simple drawings, ladder diagrams and single circuit diagrams.

Additional Requirements :

Proficient computer skills (MS Word, Excel, MP2 database system an asset)

Dairy processing experience an asset.

Work independently or in team with little to no supervision.

Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Must also be familiar with WHMIS, GMP’s and good health and safety work practices

Must have a positive “Can Do Attitude” and customer focus.
