Buffalo Inspection Services is seeking highly skilled and certified Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) Technicians with expertise in Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD).
You must hold current CSWIP or PCN ISO 9712 Level 2 certification. Holding additional tickets in Magnetic Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT), or more is advantageous.
The ideal candidate(s) will have a strong background in NDT methods, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
Familiarity with Enterprise reporting systems is essential, and a high level of computer literacy is required.

Skills and Qualifications
- Certification in Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) Level II or III preferred. (CSWIP or PCN)
- Certification in Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD) Level II or III preferred. (CSWIP or PCN)
- Certification in Magnetic Testing (MT) Level II or III preferred. (CGSB)
- Certification in Penetrant Testing (PT) Level II or III preferred. (CGSB)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in NDT inspections.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and codes (e.g., ASNT, ISO, ASTM).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- This position will require travel, analysis, and supervision of a team of PAUT / TOFD and general surface technicians.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) on various materials and components.
- Perform Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD) inspections to detect and characterize defects.
- Undertake online analysis of PAUT and TOFD scans as required.
- Carry out Magnetic Testing (MT) and Penetrant Testing (PT) as required.
- Interpret and evaluate test results according to applicable standards and specifications.
- Prepare detailed reports of findings and maintain accurate records of inspections.
- Ensure all testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure project requirements are met.
- Participate in application and scanning development to meet client needs.
- Familiarity with Gekko instrumentation is an advantage but not essential.
