Executive General Adjuster

Primary Purpose

To investigate, negotiate and settle insurance claims of any size or complexity, for personal, casualty, or property loss or damages.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Handles complex losses locally unassisted up to designated authority; assists on larger losses.
• Evaluates claim documentation and other records to determine insurance coverage.
• Interviews, telephones, or correspond with insureds, claimants and witnesses regarding claims.
• Consults police and hospital records; inspects property damage to determine extent of company''s liability and varying methods of investigation according to type of insurance.
• Estimates cost of repair, replacement, or compensation.
• Prepares report of findings and negotiates settlement with insureds or claimants.
• Revises case reserves in assigned claims files to cover probable costs.
• Prepares loss investigation reports.
• Assists with local marketing of the branch; attends professional and social events and develops new business opportunities.

Education & Licensing

Experience

Five (5) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Compensation Information :

Salary Range : $100,000 - $130,000 annually

Compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Sedgwick is committed to transparent and equitable pay practices.
