We are on the lookout for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Markham, Ontario. As part of our finance department, you'll be instrumental in dealing with customer accounts, ensuring that credit applications are processed efficiently, and maintaining accurate records. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities :

• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications
• Maintain detailed and accurate customer credit records
• Conduct regular account summaries and report to senior management
• Verify account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from various departments and customers
• Handle approval process of valid or authorized deductions
• Address invalid or unauthorized deductions by adhering to deduction procedures
• Carry out reconciliation of Accounts Receivable for Key Accounts
• Perform Credit Reference checks and gather credit information
• Engage in collection calls.
• Position requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in an Accounts Receivable role.
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is a must.
• Applicants must have a thorough understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) procedures.
• Experience in Billing and Cash Applications is essential.
• Candidates should have a strong background in Cash Collections.
• Experience in Commercial Collections is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory for this role.
• Familiarity with Oracle software is highly desirable.
• Experience with QuickBooks is a significant advantage.
• Knowledge of SAP software is required for this role.
