Laboratory Analyst – Microbiology Water Lab

As a Laboratory Analyst, your main responsibilities are to :
- Adhere to Bureau Veritas Code of Ethics Policy.
- Support and comply with all Bureau Veritas policies, Quality System and Health & Safety program.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) when conducting any laboratory work or procedure.
- Perform basic Microbiological testing procedures, sample preparation and procedures prior to analyses. Including media prep and clean up.
- Prioritizes daily workload based on sample and client requirement.
- Ensures a high level of accuracy in sample prep and analyses.
- Recording results in logbooks and on FCDs. Data entry into LIMS may also be required.
- Understanding of analytical procedures and problem solving.
- Identifies any non-routine samples and seeks guidance on procedures for handling.
- Identifies and communicates non-conformances to Supervisor.
- Meets quality and TAT specifications required by the client and ensure samples are analyzed within holding time requirements.
- Employs proper laboratory techniques to minimize risk of mislabeling sample mix-up and cross contamination between samples and other materials.
- Provides Supervisor / Manager with updates on workstation status including advance notification of any delays.
- Maintains training records and relevant qualifications.
- Keeps work area clean, neat and organized.
- Participates, when requested in Department and Health & Safety meetings.
- Participates, when requested in internal and external audits. Be audit compliant at all times.
- As required, provides training to junior staff.
- Proactive in ensuring that consumable supplies are available in the lab.
- Ensures that instruments and equipment are appropriately maintained.
- All other responsibilities as assigned.
You are the ideal Laboratory Analyst, if you have a :
Work Schedule : 2 : 00 pm to 10 : 30pm, Rotating shift and weekends.
Participation within the emergency “on-call” program on weekends
