Position : Human Resources ManagerJob Type : Full time or part timeTHE OPPORTUNITYProvides strategic HR leadership in a hybrid remote role, driving the development and delivery of employee programs and services. Collaborates with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that align with organizational goals. Acts as a strategic advisor, coach, and consultant to leadership on complex HR matters. This incredible opportunity can be filled on a part-time or full-time basis.WHAT YOU’LL DO Strategic Leadership : Participates in the development of HR strategies and plans. Provides strategic direction to HR programs and initiatives, including workforce planning, training, change management, succession planning, talent acquisition, retention, diversity, equity, and inclusion, performance management, and recognition. Actively maintains records of accidents, injuries, and illnesses, as well as training records for all health and safety initiatives. Assists with administrative tasks and supports the General Manager and Board of Directors in relevant projects and additional tasks. Acts as a strategic advisor to leadership on complex HR matters, including employee relations, labor relations, and legal compliance.Team Leadership : Fosters a collaborative team environment and promotes professional development. Leads and participates in providing training to employees on health and safety topics, such as hazard identification, risk assessment, and emergency procedures. Leads the research and implementation of best practices and industry trends. Acts as a strategic advisor to leadership on complex HR matters. Program and Service Delivery : Manages the delivery of HR programs and services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and legal requirements. Works in collaboration with other departments to develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures. Provides HR advisory services to managers and employees. Oversees the recruitment and onboarding process. Employee Relations : Promotes a positive employee relations culture. Manages employee relations issues, including grievance handling, investigations, and disciplinary actions. Provides leadership in labor relations, including collective bargaining and contract negotiations. Manages employee concerns related to health and safety issues. Provides coaching, mentoring, and performance management support to managersRisk Management and Compliance : Ensures compliance with employment, labor, and human rights legislation.Develops a framework of policies, practices, and processes to identify and mitigate HR risks. Develops, implements, maintains HR policies and procedures. Provides strategic direction to conflict resolution processes, including grievances, disputes, and legal proceedings.QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or in a relevant discipline. Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation preferred. Minimum 6-10 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles, with a strong emphasis on strategic HR, employee / labor relations, and program delivery Advanced knowledge of employment, labor, and human rights legislation Strong leadership skills and the ability to build and lead high-performing teams Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in HRIS and other relevant software applications Experience in a complex, unionized environment is preferred Expert knowledge of HR practices, including workforce planning, succession planning, talent acquisition / recruitment, retention, diversity, equity, and inclusion, performance management, and recognitionKEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORSIncrease in Employee Net Promoter Score by 10% year-over-year.Reduce time-to-hire by 10% and increase quality-of-hire by 25%.
