About Allnorth

BIG ENOUGH TO KNOW HOW, SMALL ENOUGH TO KNOW YOU

Allnorth is a multi-disciplinary engineering, project delivery, and construction services company. We provide smart and practical project solutions to clients in the metals and minerals, energy and renewables, fiber and chemicals, and infrastructure sectors. With offices across Canada, and in the US and Mexico, we continue to grow!

Our team is our most valuable asset, and a triple bottom line (TBL) philosophy is at the heart of our business. It takes a talented, motivated and empowered team to delight our clients, driving profitability for all parties. When it comes to guiding principles, safety is part of our DNA, we are committed to building and nurturing Indigenous relationships, we support our communities, and we recognize the importance of environmental stewardship.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Project Manager to lead and manage a variety of building design and civil infrastructure projects.

This role requires expertise in project management, resource coordination, and technical oversight to ensure successful project execution from inception to completion.

The successful candidate will have the autonomy to lead projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

This role will play a critical role in design, planning, budgeting / estimating, and execution, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

A Day in the Life

  • Lead and manage the design and construction of building and civil infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop project designs, specifications and execution plans.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinate project resources, including internal teams, other engineering sub consultants and external vendors, to ensure effective execution.
  • Oversee project procurement, ensuring materials and resources are sourced in a timely manner.
  • Conduct risk assessments and manage mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
  • Provide technical guidance to a team of EITs and designers, Architects, and Engineering Subcontractors to deliver preliminary to detailed design drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage a variety of projects such as infrastructure upgrades, subdivision developments, and the design and construction of water, sewer, drainage, and transportation infrastructure.
  • Identify and resolve project and resource impediments by generating and executing creative and practical solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high satisfaction and retention
  • Lead teams to ensure efficient management of budget, schedule, subcontractors, vendors / suppliers, and project billing.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Diploma in Engineering, preferably Civil, Structural, or related field.
  • Registered, or eligible to register, as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with PEGNL or an equivalent licensing body.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is an asset.
  • 7+ years of experience in project management, preferably in a consulting engineering environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building design, construction practices, and engineering principles.
  • Solid commercial analysis skills, project financial accountability, and management of WIP.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) would be considered an asset.
  • Experience with sustainable building practices and green certifications (LEED, etc.) is an asset.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and handle shifting priorities.
  • Valid Canadian driver’s license.
  • What’s in it for you?

We believe that a happy and fulfilled team leads to exceptional results, which is why we offer a range of perks designed to support your well-being, career growth and community engagement.

  • Work schedule and location are flexible, allowing for better work-life balance
  • Comprehensive benefits package includes extended health and dental coverage and RRSP matching
  • Employee Assistance Program for team members and their families
  • A culture of respect and inclusivity fosters long term relationships and a team atmosphere
  • Professional development and growth opportunities
  • Team member referral program recruiting incentives
  • Monthly “Lunch & Learn” sessions
  • Opportunities to bond with other team members, have fun and make a difference through involvement in social and safety committees, as well as fundraising and community support initiatives (e.g. Movember, Pi Day, Food Banks, Women’s Shelters, Ronald McDonald House, Earth Day clean ups, etc.)
  • WE TAKE CARE OF YOU SO YOU CAN TAKE CARE OF OUR CLIENTS

In joining us you’ll face rewarding, career-developing challenges that enable you to contribute to our clients’ successes, and despite how much we grow, you’ll never be just a number, but rather a vital member of the Allnorth Team.

Engage with us at Allnorth and be empowered to enrich people’s lives, including your own.

Allnorth is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, status as a protected veteran, status as a qualified individual with a disability, or any other legally protected status under applicable federal, provincial, or state law.
