POSITION DESCRIPTION :
The welcoming LE CLAIR MATIN residence is currently seeking a creative and passionate Cook, eager to offer an exceptional culinary experience to residents.
Permanent, full-time position, 40 hours per week, daytime, 10-hour shift from 8 : 30 a.m. to 6 : 30 p.m., and weekends as needed. (four-day work week).
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
Assemble plates of food
Clean kitchen equipment
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure good teamwork
Ensure the kitchen and equipment are kept clean according to established hygiene and cleanliness standards
Perform inventory duties, receive and store food for the kitchen
Perform other related duties
Plan and cook meals in accordance with the appropriate methods and standards
Prepare the lunches and suppers for the Health Care department
When appropriate, collaborate with the chef in the creation of the menus by proposing ideas
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS :
A proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in institutional cuisine or equivelent
Training certification (MAPAQ)
Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
A minimum of 2 to 3 years experience
Experience in a large restoration's volume (an asset)
