Machinist - Level 1

Summary of Job Functions :

Assist in setting up and operating various CNC machines Collaborate with the Maintenance Technician to support preventive maintenance for CNC machines. Support experienced machinists in troubleshooting machine issues and learning maintenance procedures. Engage in continuous learning to develop skills in machining processes and adherence to safety protocols. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring safety and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform regular preventive maintenance on various CNC machines, under guidance of Maintenance Technician . Operate 3 and 4 axis CNC machines under supervision of more senior team members. Maintain machinery and equipment in safe working condition. Follow all safety and environmental regulations and in continuous learning to enhance machining skills and machine maintenance.

Minimum Requirements :

Minimum Grade 12 education.

Some experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is preferred but not required.

Willingness to learn and adapt in a high-technology environment.

Additional Desired Qualifications :

Basic knowledge of SAP is a plus.

Interest in learning about lean manufacturing and AS9100 requirements.

Working Conditions :

The annual base salary range for this position is $46,100 – 55,000 in Cambridge, ON. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
