We are currently looking for a Scheduler to join our team at our Hamilton Kent plant in Toronto, ON. The candidate would be responsible for creating and maintaining schedule(s) for multiple production facilities.
Working within the Demand & Supply Planning team, the role will support & provide transparency to internal stakeholders, identify supply risk, and maintain inventory at targeted levels.
Principal Responsibilities
- Maintain a production schedule for HK plants considering raw material availability, plant constraints, and sales priorities.
- Coordinate with plant production teams to keep them informed with changes to the schedule, and provide daily feedback on schedule attainment
- Calculates inventory requirements for WIP.
- Co-ordinates stock transfers to between Hamilton Kent warehouses and Distribution warehouses to maintain planned inventory levels.
- Maintain master data in our planning system ensuring planning records are up to date and accurate.
- Respond to inquiries from sales, customer service, and manufacturing in a timely manner and report deviations, interruptions, and supply / demand spikes.
- Leverage business intelligence tools and provide weekly / monthly reporting to the Demand and Supply Planning Manager.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Post-secondary Education, APICS (CPIM) or equivalent experience in production planning
- 3 - 5 Years production scheduling experience
- Sophisticated Level Excel skills required
- SAP experience is an asset
