We source cosmetically imperfect or surplus produce and deliver it directly to households through a subscription-based service.

Our innovative approach not only helps to reduce food waste by diverting odd produce from ending up in landfills, but also makes a significant social and environmental impact.

We are helping Canadians save thousands of dollars on their grocery bills, supporting local farmers, donating to families suffering from food insecurity, and building a better planet in the process.

We currently operate in Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia, with most of our team located in Toronto, London, and Vancouver.

About the Role

We are seeking a Marketing Special Projects Lead to help build, execute, and manage various marketing and growth initiatives at Odd Bunch.

This role is pivotal in driving the business forward and optimizing processes under the CEO's guidance. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, flexible environment and will be a key player in achieving our company's ambitious goals.

What You'll Do

  • Support and / or lead various top of funnel customer acquisition tactics, scaling existing performing channels, while launching new experiments in an effort to establish a strong omni-channel growth strategy
  • Support and / or lead our search, display and SEO strategies
  • Support and / or lead our referral and loyalty programs
  • Support with refining and scaling our email marketing campaigns to communicate our mission, brand values, product benefits, bolster brand loyalty, and optimize retention
  • Support with content, socials and paid media creative & execution
  • Support the development and execution of a world-class digital customer experience from pre-purchase to conversion and retention;

helping establish a fully connected and integrated system across every customer touch point

  • Help champion our brand voice and support our socials teams in building a highly engaged community of impact-driven Canadians
  • Regularly monitor industry & market trends, while staying informed on new best practises
  • Opportunity to support and / or lead other marketing initiatives such as influencer & affiliate, YouTube, PR, experiential, OOH, B2B marketing, ABM, partnership marketing, and channel marketing
  • Opportunity to support and / or lead other important initiatives to help grow the company such as partnerships, sponsorship, business development, and other growth channels

What We're Looking For

  • Experience with a combination of : Omni-channel marketing, demand generation and customer acquisition, building customer journeys, email marketing, loyalty & referral, and marketing communications within the grocery, food and beverage, CPG or ecommerce industry
  • Note, proficiency in all of the above areas is not required. We are looking for a well-rounded individual who may have experience with certain subject matter and is open to learning and building new skills in other areas of marketing
  • Experience with campaign planning, goal setting, building marketing or growth roadmaps, alongside hands-on execution of day-to-day tasks
  • High level of creativity with an experimentation mindset, balanced by a strong technical background
  • Understanding of the grocery industry, food and beverage, and ecommerce
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, learn quickly, take risks, and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple priorities

  • In an impact-driven organization, startup culture, or fast paced working environment
  • Building and managing search, display and SEO strategies
  • Using design tools such as Canva
  • Planning & executing on social platforms. Including, but not limited to : TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter
  • Understanding of web & mobile analytics, paid media campaign development & management
  • Supporting or managing other marketing channels such as YouTube, PR, influencer & affiliate, OOH, experiential, B2B marketing, ABM, partnership marketing, and channel marketing
  • Supporting or managing other growth channels such as partnerships, sponsorship, and business development
  • Working with design and engineering to optimize customer journeys and create top tier user experiences with highly effective conversion funnels
  • Hiring, managing and / or working alongside freelancers, agencies, and contractors
