Position Overview :

LawDepot.com is currently expanding and looking to recruit a Product Specialist in Edmonton, Alberta. In this role, you will be responsible for creating interactive web products and services that are helpful, easy to understand and a pleasure to use for our 24 million plus yearly visitors.

A primary objective will be driving initiatives to optimize product lifecycle management, including product planning, development and launch, for our high value Divorce and Incorporation offerings.

This is a full-time permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week with opportunities for a hybrid office work schedule.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Lead the research and development of our Divorce product to facilitate its successful implementation and entry into the United States market
  • Write and refine content to make the product creation process simple and easy for users
  • Conduct product research and user testing to understand customer needs, competitor offerings, and emerging trends
  • Utilize internal tools (ex. content management systems) to implement powerful, interactive web products that are optimized for conversion
  • Collaborate with Legal, Design, Development, and QA departments to ensure seamless integration of project goals
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Proactively identify and resolve challenges to ensure successful project delivery
  • Develop UX and digital marketing best practices through collaboration with our Technical writing team
  • Create innovative strategies for increasing user engagement and retention
  • Assess the viability of potential projects, services, and features

Knowledge and Skill Requirements :

Post-secondary education in Business, Writing, Communications, Law, or other relevant fields

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate complicated information in a succinct way that users can understand
  • Understanding of product management lifecycle, consumer psychology, online marketing, and conversion optimization
  • Ability to conduct research, perform user testing, and analyze user data
  • Effectively provide and receive feedback
  • Self-driven with the ability to execute projects independently
  • Ability to identify opportunities and suggest new ideas
  • Quality decision making and sound judgement
  • Product development experience would be an asset
  • Technical writing experience would be an asset
  • Working knowledge of UX best practices would be an asset
