We’re on the hunt for a Micro-Electromechanical Assembler on our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office.
The Position :
The main role consists of performing assembly of micro-electromechanical products according to structured work processes.
Some analysis is required before independently choosing from known processes.
Responsibilities :
- Solder on the substrate, select the substrate, and measure electrical components.
- Perform electric joints and contacts with welded wires or ribbons (microwiring, parallel welding and beam leads).
- Affix substrates on a base or box using a pre-programmed oven.
- Mount components to a base or circuit.
- Prepare components for encapsulation.
- Prepare, handle and use polymeric products to bond components.
- Proceed with sealing and leak tests for boxes.
- Use equipment for hybrid sorting.
- Proceed with the assembly of elements in the boxes.
- Check the product.
- Inspect, check and validate compliance of certain tasks done by colleagues.
- Support Research and Development
- All other related tasks
Qualifications / Requirements :
- High school diploma, college diploma or diploma of vocational studies in one of the following fields : electronics, mechanics or equivalent
- Two (2) to Five (5) years of relevant experience
- Basic knowledge of English is an asset
- Plan Reading.
- Basic knowledge of the principle of tolerances and geometrical dimensions.
- Ability to recover and enter data with a computer system.
- Use of production databases.
- The candidate has the basic knowledge to operate one or several manual or semi-automatic equipment for microelectronic assembly.
- Good knowledge of French
- Fine manual dexterity
- Ability to work with a microscope
