We are seeking a Temporary Full-Time Junior / Senior High Math and Options Teacher. The contract will commence on January 20, 2024 and will end on June 26, 2025.
- We are seeking a teacher who has;
- Appropriate educational training and experience teaching the Alberta curricula;
- A strong understanding of outcomes based assessment practices;
- Willingness to work collaboratively as a member of an instructional team;
- A commitment to building relationships with students to create a safe, caring and welcoming learning environment;
- A strong belief in parent involvement and communication including regular communication with home beyond the use report cards;
- Strong organizational and classroom management skills;
- An in depth knowledge of and experience with current outcomes based assessment practices and ability to develop multiple assessments such as portfolios and projects, in addition to more traditional assessments;
- A passion for working with an ethnically diverse group of students, including First Nations Metis and Inuit students;
- An ability to ensure success for students with diverse academic, behavioural, emotional and / or curricular needs within the classroom setting;
- Alberta Teaching Certificate or eligibility for same;
Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
